etting to New England can be as much fun as is being here. Fortunately, there are numerous ways to get here. By car is easy and driving gives you the most opportunity to head out and explore on your own. You can drive your own car or rent one. In either case, as you cross into any state in New England, the scenery will help keep the kids from asking, "Are we there yet"?

Most if not all of the major airlines offer service to New England's many airports, some to the bi8gger cities, such as Boston and some to smaller airstrips lie lie ribbon-like in all six New England states. And you can also charter a small plane to get to the smaller airports. But flying is hardly the only, much less preferred, way to get here. Amtrak and other railroads send trains throughout the entire region. No traffic, no hassles and a train ride is an exciting adventure in and of itself for you and the kids. Coming by boat is a super way to sail the coastline and then sail inland through a number of long and gorgeous rivers. Some of the major cruise lines offer New England cruises that often include ports of call in Canada. There are also any number of companies that offer tours throughout the region. Perhaps the best way to get here is by car. You can go wherever you want and explore all there is to see in your own timeframe.

In the final analysis, it doesn't matter how you get here. Any way you come will be both fun and exciting. Be sure to check out all the different way to get here before you decide on a specific mode of transportation, though. You may find that you can travel on all of them in one trip.
