Ye Olde England Inne . Mountain Road . Stowe . Vermont | 1.802.253.7558 | OldEnglandInn.com

ere in one of nature's most spectacular valleys, amidst the mountains, forest, and waterfalls come the adventurers, skiers, golfers, musicians, equestrians, cyclists, gourmets, romantics, and celebrities, all participating in a myriad of events and international festivals. Come escape to our beautiful Green Mountains for some well earned fun and rest.

When your hosts Chris and Lyn discovered the building that is now Ye Olde England Inne, they immediately sensed the deep spirit of the property.

Originally built as a large farmhouse a century and a half earlier, the 'real' building was masked; hidden behind the veneers of subsequent fashions. Once stripped away, they revealed the essence of that which is the essential ingredient of the traditional English country inn. A sense of substance, strength, history, confidence, warmth and security... a perfect foundation for welcoming hospitality.

Such authentic character and ambiance cannot be contrived; this friendly and inviting patina is bestowed by time alone. Modified and restored, modern facilities and amenities installed, the Laura Ashley decor, antiques and reproductions have married the original building perfectly.

The rooms and suites provide a warm and reassuring welcome for those seeking the romance of gentler times. Varying in shape and size from cozy comfort to large and very luxurious, here there really is something to satisfy everyone. For the safety of our guests we are a completely non-smoking property.

Located on the first and second floors of the Inn some feature rooms offer one or two brass double beds, others a queen size four poster, brass or canopy bed.

Each has private bath, remote control color television, video player, AM/FM radio clocks, direct dial telephones, brew coffee maker hairdryers and luxury amenity baskets. Views vary from the Worcester range of Mountains to Mount Mansfield along the Lamoille Valley and across the grounds of the Inn.
